All bids on this site are posted as received. All bids are taken under submission for review, evaluation and verification by appropriate County project staff, and when necessary, by the County Counsel’s office.
Recommendation for rejection or award will be made by project staff, as appropriate, to a department Director, a Chief Deputy County Executive, the Board of Supervisors, or the governing board of directors of the contracting agency.
Formally Bid Contracts - County. For formally bid contracts over $5,000,000 or not otherwise meeting conditions for award by a Chief Deputy County Executive, the recommendation for rejection or award will be placed on the agenda for action by the Board of Supervisors. If the bids received meet the conditions for award by a Chief Deputy County Executive (SCC 2.61.059), notice of intent to award will be placed on the next available agenda of the Board of Supervisors as a communication to be received and filed, and additional notice may not be provided to bidders.
Formally Bid Contracts – Other Agencies. Recommendation for rejection or award will be placed on the agenda for action by the governing board of directors. No additional notice will be provided to bidders.
CUPCCAA Contracts. If award will be made to the apparent low bidder as listed on this site, no additional notice will be provided to bidders prior to award by the department Director. If recommendation for award to other than the apparent low bidder is made, notice will be provided to the affected bidders prior to award. If all bids are in excess of the statutory limit for award by the department Director but within the limit which may be awarded by 4/5th vote of the governing board, if project staff recommends award, such recommendation will be placed on the agenda for action by the governing board.
Job Order Contracts. Notice of intent to award will be provided to bidders, which will commence the specified job order contract ten-day bid protest period. Recommendation for rejection or award will be placed on the agenda for action by the Board of Supervisors.
